The Dockers have been dealt one of the unluckiest blows so far in the infancy of AFLW.

They’ve struggled with injury to key players, their stars moving interstate and haven’t had much luck through the draft with local Western Australian talent, which was compounded further with gun Western Australian McKenzie Dowrick opted to nominate for Queensland ahead of her home state.

Kiara Bowers, Fremantle’s initial marquee selection still hasn’t debuted, while Kellie Gibson and Kirby Bently suffered injuries last year.

The Dockers face an uphill battle to climb from the bottom of the ladder, however had added an array of WAWFL mature age players to bridge the gap.
